In the beginning

Hello friends, My name is Julie. My roots are deep within British Columbia's various terrains as I am Nisga'a and Snuneymuxw. I have 3 beautiful and amazing children. Steve and I live on the unceded and stolen lands of the Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ Nation on Vancouver Island (Ucluelet).  As I begin this journey of assisting more citizens to become Food Sovereign through various avenues I would like to share the seasons as we grow. I am self taught in this journey thus far, and been growing here 4 years. NN will grow leafy greens/microgreens/medicinal and non medicinal herbs & vegetables and teach along the way in our educational rooms. ​We want to build the relationship between you and the land again. We want to bridge the gap between new/well seasoned growers alike to becoming more food secure. If you know your way around the garden already or want to learn from the ground up (pun intended) We want to assist. Should you have no interest in doing the dirty work, you still deserve to eat locally grown nutrient packed food too right? We will have a store front to assist that individual too. There can be no comparison to a freshly picked cucumber and one wrapped in plastic we get at the grocery store. Maybe there's mobility issues and you just need the beds made and delivered to their forever home so you can get going, we're here for you! Perhaps you need us to come by for a consult or design advise, we are mobile too. Or to come by weekly/bi/monthly to tend to your yard, we can do that. Our outside areas from which we live should be giving us soo much more joy and use.  We want to assist there! Nyce Nursery will have seeds to fresh vegetable and everything in between to help your yard/garden! One day in the future we would like to donate to the low income as well as be a part of the local Food Banks. We want you eating healthier no matter what your background is or where you come from!! Healing one mind/gut at a time. We will be transparent, we will be there when we say we will be there and we can't wait to meet you.
